In between worlds

In 2009 one of my friends told me that she was abused by her father. For weeks her story kept spinning in my head and I started feeling the urgency to make a project about it. In a flash I saw images in my head of fragile people with intense pain fighting to stay strong.

This work is about emotions and fears that are rooted deep inside of those people and they are scarved for the rest of their life. The images are confronting yet undefinable. They will forever haunt their minds. They are alienated from themselves and from reality.
