Back Up

BACKUP is a wearable electronic device, designed to support us in achieving a correct and healthy posture.

I made two versions of the product - one belt for the lower back and a shoulder strap for the upper area of the spine.

This product is especially intended for people working in desk jobs with a computer as their main tool, due to the long hours of sitting, they are susceptible to a number of misalignments of the spine.

The electronic sensors detect a slouchy posture and remind the user discreetly through vibrations to upraise again.

Goal is to improve posture by ingraining good behaviors in the user and furthermore to strengthen the back muscles and train them in memorizing a healthy posture.
